During this course you will gain a comprehensive understanding with regards to the standards and procedures applicable to compilation and review engagements of nonpublic entities, including an overview of the:
• Generally Accepted Accounting Standards (GAASs),
• Statements on Auditing Standards (SASs), and
• Learning the specific requirements of each of the Statements on Standards for Accounting and Review Services (SSARs).
In addition, you will gain knowledge of the Statements on Quality Control Standards (SQCSs) including:
• Elements of quality control,
• Administration of a quality control systems, and
• Monitoring a CPA firm’s accounting and auditing practice.
And, you will be updated on the Standards for Peer Reviews, which were recently revised effective January 1, 2005. This discussion will include interpretations which were reported pertaining to the most common questions regarding individual enrollment and compilations performed under SSARS No. 8.
Through this entire course, you be able to identify with case examples of how each of the applications could be applied in your practice.
